About Me

My photo
Connecticut, United States
Hi! I'm a juinor-high student (I feel so sophisticated when saying that) from the third smallest state (Connecticut) in the 50 United States of America. (Good research, huh?) My interests are swimming, writing, reading, organinizing my closet, and trying on cute clothes that are "in" and "hip." I am completly freaked out by scary movies, even though I read scary books. I don't understand why we need math and ugly clothes in this world. People that are talented at instruments embarass me and make me jeolus because of my non-capability of it. Anyway, here's my story!!!

CUTE NEW BOOTS!!!

Oh my gosh!!! On Wednesday, My mom and I went to T.J. Max to get shoes. As I walked by them, the cutest new black "Groove" boots from T.J. Maxx with diamond stubs stole my heart just like my dog, Rocco, nabs the left-over Chinese food off the counter! I knew that they were right for me because there was a gigantic rack of them lined up greatly, so I grabbed the first one on the end. It fit absolutely perfectly!

Anyway, today is a snow day, so I have nothing to do. This evening, I'll hear the results of characters at my acting class thingy. I guess that's an upside to today. And tomorrow's upside is my Reginal Swim Meet! I'm so excited! You see, even though I trip over flat surfaces I can do everything that's possible in the pool.

Well, gotta go! Bye!

1 Word... Washington (Well, 2 Words) D.C!

Wow, that place was absolutely astounding. I arrived, after a 5-and-a-half-hour train ride, and my jaw did not stop dropping. As my mom's old vintage purse (that passed as my carry-on bag) shrugged over my shoulder, I was ready for some sight-seeing (and shopping)! Many think that this place is "to old for a 5th grader," boy were they wrong!

Day one:

  • Got to the amazing Caribbean hotel (or should I say "habitat")

  • Explored our room, which had a perfect view of the water-fall in the lobby

  • Took a cab to the National Museum of American History

  • Saw the legendary RUBY RED SLIPPERS FROM, "THE WIZARD OF OZ" and JULIA CHILD'S KITCHEN (I saw more but that was super exciting)!!!!!!!!!!

  • Got to the hotel again and went swimming

  • Fell asleep at like, 8:00 PM!!

Day two:

  • Woke up at 9:00

  • Ate Breakfast with the wild-life surrounding me

  • Took a cab to the LINCOLN MEMORIAL and saw where Martin Luther King Jr. gave his "I Have a Dream" speech!!!!!!!

  • Walked to the VIETNAM MEMORIAL. That was really sad.

  • Again walked to the HUGE WASHINGTON MONUMENT which is a gigantic obelisk (that's what the pic is of)
  • Went to the National Museum of Natural History. That was pretty amazing. I saw so many adorable and interesting animals that I couldn't count and saw an I-max movie called, "Wild Ocean"
  • Took the subway back and all of us were crazily terrified of being separated (you know, like one kid couldn't get of the subway because the door closed too fast)

Day three:

  • Once again woke up and ate (I know that you don't care about that stuff)
  • Took a self-guided tour of THE REAL WHITE HOUSE!!!!!
  • Arrived at the World-Wide WAX MUSEUM and saw unbelievable people, like almost all of the presidents and Michael Jackson!
  • Ate (I know you don't care but it was part of my day!)
  • Got to the Air and Space Museum and looked around but nothing was super memorable because we barely walked in
  • Ate dinner and went to bed (Not that easy but you know what I mean)

Day four:

  • Got on a train and went home

Well, that was my trip. Comment if you did anything special over the past few weeks!!

Today, Exaustment. Tommorow, EXCITIMENT!

Today, since it's vacation, I had absolutely nothing to do! Half of my time was spent laying on my bed, watching full house and eating Cinnamon Raisin Toast. Ahh, Cinnamon Raisin Toast is like the instant pipeline to happiness. Once I decided to lug myself out of bed, I remembered. TOMORROW IS THE DAY THAT I'M GOING TO WASHINGTON D.C!!!!!! I am the best and most interested planner of the family. When I heard that we were going to Disney (which we didn't in the end), I grabbed the official guide of Disney and highlighted until I was blue! So, before I go to bed, I'll do the same thing as I did last month. So far we're pretty sure that we are going to the legendary Air and Space Museum, The Smithsonian, and the Vietnam Memorial. If you have any more suggestions on where I should go, just comment! Also, if I can figure out how to download the pictures onto the blog, I'll do that, to!

5 hours on the train at 7:30 AM! Hopefully I'll have enough energy to make a use of all the activities that I packed neatly and organizedly (that's not a word, but I want to prove a point). We are staying for 3, 4, or 5 days.

Things to Ponder

Many, many, many things to ponder:

  • Why do humans say "Heads Up" when your supposed to duck?
  • When a piece of cheese has it's picture taken, what does it say?
  • Who is the first person in a traffic jam?
  • If #2 pencils are bought more than #1 pencils, why are they still #2?
  • Why is Charlie short for Charles if they have the same amount of letters?
  • If a cow laughed REALLY hard, would milk come out of it's nose?
  • Why does your nose run and your feet smell?
  • Isn't it the same thing if you sit up or sit down?
  • What do sheep count when they can't fall asleep?
  • Why do humans call it a hot water heater when the water is already hot?
  • If you throw a cat out of a car window, would it be called "Kitty Litter?"

Tell me if you know the answers!!!!

"Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Theif"

2 days...1 movie...twice seen...by 1 girl. Yesterday and today I saw the new movie, "Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief." IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!! But, about 45% of the movie was different than the book.

If you've never heard of this movie or book (but I'm sure you have because of all of that insane advertisements), it is about a boy who figures out that his dad is Poseidon, the ruler of the seas. Poseidon (in ancient Greek times) is brothers with Hades and Zeus. Zeus lately has been robbed of his master lightning bolt, so he is accusing his brother and nephew for the crime. Percy (the son of Poseidon), Grover, and Annabeth go on a journey to prove that they didn't do it.

Okay, now that my urge to review is over, let's get back to reality. The first day that I saw it, I was with F and we were playing on those claw games for hours, a dollar a try. Today, we arrived and got straight to the point. But, even though we got there 20 minutes early, it was like, crazy packed!
